Krazy Kitsch

Hey, kids! Let’s have a sock hop at the Salisbury’s pad! I bought each one of these albums at the same yard sale for 25¢ apiece — much less than the original owners paid. They threw in the album stand for free! The entire display goes well with our entertainment center, don’t you think?

Bo had the Box Tops album, when he was in the sixth grade. The Fontaine Sisters and Herman’s Hermits were before our time.

Thanks… thought it was time for an update. The other photo made me look much younger than I actually am… where’d all that hair go?

Isn’t that the coolest photo I got of Denise? It’s from a froo-froo coffee joint in Park Slope, Brooklyn. We were pretending to be jet-setters… heading to a meeting with Bono to discuss forgiving debt of third world nations, while enjoying a bagel, latte and trips to local galleries.

  5. I got over 100 records, all in the garage in Chico probably melting. it’s a shame, some really good stuff like Blackmore’s Rainbow from the 70s to a lot of 80s Metal, old Deep Purple (Mach II – before Blackmore kicked out Gillan and Glover), Herbert van Karajan conducting Beethoven and Brahms, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir singing Christmas songs, etc. No record player though.

Oh, reading the comments, a receding hairline is a sign of brilliance. 😉
